But you do need to be fast when capturing the Piwakawaka (also kknown as the Fantail) as they rarely stay still, with tiny bugs as their food source the Piwakawaka flutters about making sudden changes in direction as quick as you can blink. However, during the wither season some home owners will find a flock of them nestled together on a wire in their garden shed.
